If you are on your first Academic Dismissal, you are required to sit out for one semester and meet with an Academic Counselor to create an education plan. The Counseling and Advising office hosts Readmission Workshops regularly throughout the term. During the workshop, students will meet with a counselor to complete the paperwork necessary for reinstatement. Students must reserve their spot in the workshop prior to the date of the workshop. Please click here to schedule online.
If you are on your second Academic Dismissal, you do not need to attend a Readmission Workshop. On a second dismissal you are required to sit out for one full academic year, after which you will automatically be reinstated and can resume class enrollment. If you would like to meet with a counselor to plan future classes or discuss academic strategies for improvement, please click here to schedule online or call our office at 530-895-2378 to book an appointment.
If you have been placed on Academic Dismissal three or more times, you will need to petition the Academic Council to request reinstatement. To do this, you will need to meet with a counselor to complete the necessary paperwork for the petition. Please click here to schedule online or call our office at 530-895-2378 to schedule your appointment with one of our counselors.
If you do not know your dismissal status, please contact our office at 530-895-2378. We will be happy to assist you in determining if you need to attend a Counseling appointment, answer your questions, and refer you to one of our counselors as necessary.
